Baleal is often seen as an extension of Peniche but it’s sort of come into its own in the last couple of years, offering some of the more protected breaks on this long run of what’s now legendary surf shoreline.

Praia Grande Sintra is a large stretch of sandy beach and a big tourist destination for the Lisbon population. On summer days, the sand and car parks are packed, but off season is when the waves wake and this proves to be a consistent swell catcher.

Estoril Coast (including Cascais)

In Estoril Coast we are lucky to be surrounded by two coastlines: the west coast, which receives all swells that hit the Portuguese coast, and the south facing shoreline that bends towards Lisbon, receiving all south and west swells, as well as big northwest swells that are too big to surf on the west coast.

São Torpes, Sines

São Torpes is located south of Sines and its famous commercial port. The São Torpes surf area has several surf spots that break with quite consistency throughout the year.

Praia da Cordoama, Vila do Bispo

Praia da Cordoama is one of many beaches on the west coast. With reef/rocks and sandbars spread out over the full length of the beach. This place will offer different types of waves.

Praia da Luz, Lagos

Praia da Luz is mostly known as a regular tourist beach town, but it is also a great surf spot. It is located very close to Lagos and the beach break is very comparable to the one at Praia de Porto de Mós.
